I'm a Personal Caregiver - Keep me in mind!

For 30 years, PASCO has been providing industry-leading care and advocacy programs for a broad range of clients with disabilities and their families. Our clients are more than just individuals requiring care; they are individuals with unique stories, experiences, and needs. Your role will be to help them maintain their independence, dignity, and sense of purpose while fostering a warm and compassionate environment. PASCO's mission to facilitate choice, independence, and peace of mind for our clients starts with YOU - our Caregivers - by offering more than just assistance, but companionship, empathy, and a caring touch all while in the safety of their homes.

We're always looking for dependable and friendly Personal Caregivers to fill a variety of schedules for clients which include full or part-time, weekends/weekdays, day and/or nights.  This allows caregiver and client to work together to ensure a perfect fit for both parties.  

While working with PASCO clients, one may expect to perform any of the following caregiving tasks:

• Assisting with personal care: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise
• Dietary/Nutrition: preparing meals/snacks, encouraging fluid intake, purchase vitamins, meal planning
• General health care: overseeing medication and prescriptions usage, appointment reminders and administering medicine
• Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervisio
• Transportation: driving to and from activities, running errands, and help getting in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicle
• Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional
• Back-up care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers a break
• Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning (i.e. laundry)
• Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual’s health, recording and reporting any differences

• Home Health experience perferred  (not required)
• Compassion and empathy for all PASCO clients 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, understanding, and the ability to provide emotional support.
• Physical stamina and the ability to assist with mobility 
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not mandatory
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's licence and current auto insurance
  

Compensation: $15.75 - $23/hour  depending on client and services provided through Medicaid Waivers
